March 27 & 28, Independence PetsMart, 4010 S Bolger Rd, Independence, Mo. from 11 am until 4 pm.  Bring your kids and pets to have their photo take with the Easter Bunny.

Pet Expo

April  17 & 18, American Royal Center, Kansas City, Mo. Hours are Saturday 10 am until 7 pm, Sunday 10 am until 5 pm.  ABF will have a booth to sell rescue oriented merchandise as well as several of our “kids” to meet the public.

Spring Garage Sale

Saturday, April 24, National Guard Armory Building, 2323 S Crysler, Independence, Mo. Hours are 9 am until 4 pm. Donated items will be accepted at our facility at 2302 S Crysler, Independence, Mo on Thursday, April 22nd from 8 am until 8 pm.  Please no clothes or shoes.

May 1, Adopt A Thon at the Independence Petsmart, 4010 S Bolger Rd, Independence, Mo.  Adoption hours 11 am until 4 pm.  Cookout hours 12 noon until 2 pm.  Come have lunch with us and the “kids”.  ABF kids will be there to meet the public.

Pets N All That Jazz Gala for PAWS and ABF

Saturday, June 26, The Pavillion West located off S Shrank Dr. and US Hwy 40, Independence, Mo.  This year’s gala will have a western theme.  There will be wonderful food, prizes,  and entertainment, the silent auction, the Siamese auction, and the popular Pick A Paw table.  If you would like to receive an invitation please E-mail Connie at vp.paws@paws-inc.org

Do you use Best Choice products?  If so, please save your UPC bar code and send them to us at PO 
Box 493, Independence, MO. 64051.  You may also place them in plastic zip lock bag and drop them in the black box located on the northeastern corner of our facility at 2302 S. Crysler, Independence, MO 64052.   This box used to be for ink cartridges but we have abandoned that fundraiser. 

 Recycle bins ABF has three green and yellow paper retriever bins in the parking lot of the CVS Pharmacy located at the corner of 40 Highway and Lee’s Summit Road.NEW BIN located at facility 2302 S Crysler.   Please drop off your magazines, newspapers, and shredded office paper at this location.  Please NO CARDBOARD BOXES or plastic.
